About the event
Simran Non Duality Retreat
Most of our time, we live in a state that feels ordinary, yet it is far from natural. From an early age, we are taught to take ourselves to be separate individuals, disconnected from the whole. This fundamental misunderstanding shapes our experience, leading to inner conflict, tension, and a sense of incompleteness. Over time, this unnatural state distorts not only our personal well-being but also our relationships with others and the world around us.
In this retreat, we will explore the direct recognition of non-duality—the simple, undeniable reality that has always been present. This recognition is not a philosophical idea but a profound shift in perspective that, in turn, allows the body and mind to return to their natural state of openness, ease, and clarity. Without the illusion of separation, life unfolds effortlessly, and a deep harmony with existence is restored.
Many of the qualities we spend our lives striving for—personal growth, a sense of belonging, inner stability, resilience, and even physical well-being—are actually natural expressions of our true state. Young children embody this effortlessly before they form an identity based on separation. In the absence of struggle, growth happens organically. A deep trust in life, a sense of awe, gratitude, and an open-hearted connection with the world are not things to be attained but simply uncovered.
Through various methods and exercises, we will move beyond conceptual understanding and into the direct experience of the underlying essence. This retreat is for anyone drawn to truth—whether you are new to this exploration or have been on the path for years. No previous experiences is needed, only a genuine willingness to see beyond our own illusion and beliefs.

The Place
The retreat takes place at Narumi Retreat Center, north of Uppsala, Sweden—a peaceful sanctuary surrounded by forests, open fields, and unspoiled nature. On clear nights, the Milky Way stretches across the sky, and if we're lucky, the northern lights may even make an appearance.
The facilities embody a simple, traditional Swedish countryside style, offering a quiet and grounding atmosphere. A favorite gathering spot is the campfire area, perfect for reflection and connection, while the outdoor spa bath provides a soothing space to unwind.
